James Lee, Trapini and Travis Ryan are all awesome, I actually deleted Travis' name to keep it simple.

See I love the whole satan thing. I like the more mid range growler vs. the guttral (even though Barnes and Antti Boman do hold a small place in my blackened soul)

Dave Vincent (Domination and earlier)
Glen Benton (only on Amon)
Christoffer Hjerte'n (Soul Reaper-Written in Blood)
Paul Degoyler (Resurrection)
SAULIUS RIMAS (Ossastorium) Very unusual vocals

Seriously, what's his face from Immolation pisses all over over DM vocals, it's Ross Dollan I think. He just gets better & better. Listen to him on Failures for Gods! That's how I'd sing DM vocals I was a singer. Deep enough to summon satan & his hellish instrument of death. Glen Benton is good aswell. But I don't like the structural way he sings his songs.

Mike Patton > Chalky a million times over.

LOL, you're the Australian Anoop.

Patton is without a doubt the better clean singer, only a fucking ultimo cunt would say different. He can't do any heavy stuff worth jack-motherfuckin-shit though, whereas Chalky can atleast put some cleans after his ridiculously monster DM voice. He's like the equivalent of Chalky within a differnt realm, but as for "All around" no, and don't say DEP demos like Anoop did, or I'll backhand you with my pimphand of fury. (Which he's also received a few times, I'm ruthless mahfucka).

So, in my mind one = another, but Chalky can do both clean(ish) and dirty stuff, and Patton is only good for clean stuff. And heroin induced spams.

Tim can play guitar a lot better though. And what DEP demos? you mean the EP? And his italian songs thing was better showcase of his cleans that that. http://www.fabchannel.com/mike_patton_concert/2008-12-06/

Chalky wins for DM and BM stuff. Patton wins for most other stuff. They need to make a fusion band together.

Dude, even if you're talking realms, Patton is higher in his than Chalky is in his. The Chalkster is a great DM vocalist, but the two times I saw him live with Psycro he was lacking a bit of power. Chalky's got a lot of range, but most of his voicings aren't necessarily the best I've heard.

And I've only heard that DEP demo once, and I can't remember it too well.

This is very true. One of the greatest vocalists ever. Too bad he's never done brutal death metal. His brief stint with the dillinger escape plan kinda... sorta... comes close? Eh. Patton's got the range and the very unique voice.

I was just drunk and felt like disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. Total winner, I know.

However, I'd still prefer to hear anything Chalky has done over anything Patton has done. Not that it has shit to do with talents involved. BTW, I wasn't very pleased with that live shit either... other than his lows it sounded like fucking garbage, although the newer vid he has up with Mepho he sounds pretty damn tight.

The two times I saw Chalky, he was good once, and ordinary the other time. The time he was ordinary is that clip. But yeah, he seemed to be lacking a bit of power. Mind you it was an all ages show the following afternoon after a gig, so maybe he was hungover/tired.
